Senior Project PresentationsWednesday, Friday & Saturday; March 22, 24, and 25, 6:30pm in Sophia Hall & Tuesday, March 28, 7pm
The Class of 2017 would like to invite you to witness their senior project presentations to the Summerfield Community. The senior project is a year-long experience comprised of a project, a written paper and an oral presentation. This process gives students an opportunity to explore a subject that is meaningful to them, during a time of transition into adulthood.
Topics this year range from a play based on interviews with homeless people, to learning to fly a plane, to building a tiny house, to painting abstract “portraits” of class members, to writing songs to capture the developmental stages of children, and many more!
Latecomers please wait between presentations before entering.
Senior Project Follow-up Performances
In the week following the senior project speech presentations, Summerfield will host an additional night at which four students will present the performance art content of their senior projects. This is a special opportunity for the seniors who created these works to perform for the school community instead of solely giving speeches about their projects.
Maeve O’Reilly and Dahnia Campos will recite their poetry, Stav Redlich will play his songs, and Bronwyn Simmons will act out her theatre piece.
This student-led performance night will take place in Sophia Hall at 7pm on Tuesday, March 28. Admission is free. Please come to appreciate the dedication and artistry that these students have to offer. More info at (862) 684-5402.
