Paul Zehrer is the father of Red Rose kindergartener, Elias Lerner-Zehrer, and husband of Gillian Lerner. Paul and his family moved to Sebastopol specifically to be part of Summerfield. Paul’s been a dairy farmer, beekeeper, and film producer, writer and director. His film work has earned nominations for an Independent Spirit Award, the Sundance Grand Jury Award, Oscar and Emmy Awards. His current production company focuses on social entrepreneurship and multimedia messaging for groups such as Human Rights Watch, MoveOn.org, Alliance for Climate Protection, and Van Jones' Rebuild the Dream. Paul has made several films on Waldorf education including, Marin Waldorf School’s, “Why Waldorf?” which won Golden Cine and Silver Telly Awards. Currently, Paul is completing a film for the Waldorf School of the Peninsula and a film on Waldorf education in the Middle East.
