Applying to Summerfield Waldorf School
Welcome and thank you for your interest in Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm. Plan a visit to our 38-acre campus and biodynamic farm, which is situated in western Sonoma County, an hour outside of San Francisco. You are always welcome to join us for any of the upcoming events, morning tours, festivals, concerts or class plays.
Application materials are arranged below by grade level. Download and complete the corresponding PDF forms and e-mail, mail or walk-in to Summerfield's Admissions Office. Lastly, fill out the online form found under Step 3. Once your completed written application materials, online form and $75.00 application fee have been received by our admissions office your family will be contacted to discuss the interview procedure.
Preschool & Kindergarten
There are many opportunities throughout the school year to come and learn more about the early childhood program at Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm. Please check the Upcoming Events section of this website often for a complete list of events.
Summerfield is currently accepting preschool and kindergarten applications for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years. Children must be 3 by June 1st of 2016 for the preschool program, and 4 by June 1st of 2016 for our multi-age kindergarten program, for 4-6 year olds.
Mail, e-mail, or walk-in the completed written questionnaire. Also submit a recent photo of your child and a $75 application fee.

Lower School (Grades 1-8)
Applications are now being accepted for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years, on a space available basis. Contact our Admissions Director to inquire about availability in our lower school classes, 707.575.7194 ext. 102 or email sallie(at)summerfieldwaldorforg.
Step 1 Download the Application Procedure document, print and complete the Written Questionnaire, Signature Page and Transcript Release Form (used to request Transcripts from students present school for teachers to review).
Step 2 Mail in the completed Written Questionnaire, Signature Page, and Transcript Release Form with a recent photo of your child and a $75 application fee.
Step 3 Complete the Online Form.
High School (Grades 9-12)
Join us our annual High School Open House, Saturday, November 7th, 10 am - 1 pm. This fun and informative event is hosted by the high school faculty and current students. RSVP: sallie(at)summerfieldwaldorforg
We are currently scheduling High School Visiting Day appointments. We typically host visiting students on Tuesdays through Thursdays, during the fall and winter months. On the day of the visit, guests will be paired with student hosts who will guide them through a typical day in the life of Summerfield. We do our best to match individuals with similar interests, so a the time of scheduling do let us know a bit about what intrigues your student. Arrival time is at 7:45 am and pick up is at 3 pm. Lunch is provided.
What to expect: Every day begins with a Main Lesson experience. Following this period, some days you might find yourself experiencing an engaging math, humanities or foreign language class. While other days you might have a music class or an afternoon of art as the focus. We look forward to visitors getting to spend the entire day with us and we can't wait to meet you!
