Applying to Summerfield Waldorf School

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm. Plan a visit to our 38-acre campus and biodynamic farm, which is situated in western Sonoma County, an hour outside of San Francisco. You are always welcome to join us for any of upcoming events, morning tours, festivals, concerts or class plays. Click here to contact our Admissions Director to arrange your visit.

Application materials are arranged below by grade level. Once all completed forms and application fees have been received by our admissions office, your family will be contacted to discuss the interview procedure.

Preschool & Kindergarten

There are many opportunities throughout the school year to come and learn more about the early childhood program at Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm.  Please check the Upcoming Events section of this website often for a complete list of events and contact our Admissions Director to set up your visit at admissions(at)summerfieldwaldorforg.

Summerfield is currently accepting preschool and kindergarten applications for the current school year and beyond. Minimum age for our Preschool program is 3-years-old by June 1st of the school year you are applying for. Minimum age for our Kindergarten program is 4-years-old by June 1st of the school year you are applying for.

Step 1:  Download the Early Childhood Application Procedure guide for your reference.

Step 2: Print and complete the Early Childhood Written Questionnaire.

Step 3:  Mail, e-mail, or walk-in the completed written questionnaire with a $95 application fee. You may also submit a recent photo of your child or upload one when you complete the online form as referenced below.

Step 4:  Complete the Online Form.


Lower School (Grades 1-8)

Summerfield is currently accepting Lower School applications for the current school year and beyond. Contact our Admissions Director to inquire about availability in our 1st through 8th grade classes, 707-575-7194, x102, or email admissions(at)summerfieldwaldorforg

Step 2: Print and complete the Lower School Written Questionnaire/Records Release Form (used to request records from student's present school for teachers to review).

Step 3: Mail, e-mail, or walk-in the completed Written Questionnaire with a $95 application fee. You may also submit a recent photo of your child or upload one when you complete the online form as referenced below.

Step 4: Complete the Online Form.


High School (Grades 9-12)

Interested in Summerfield Waldorf High School? As a way to get to know us, we offer the opportunity for your student to experience our High School hands-on during a High School Visiting Day. On the day of the visit, guests will be paired with student hosts who will guide them through a typical day in the life of Summerfield. Visiting students will be matched with current high school students with similar interests. Lunch will be provided.
