Applying to Summerfield Waldorf School

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm.  Plan a visit to our 38-acre campus and biodynamic farm,  which is situated in western Sonoma County, an hour outside of San Francisco.  You are always welcome to join us for any of the upcoming events, morning tours, festivals, concerts or class plays.

Application materials are arranged below by grade level.  Download and complete the corresponding PDF forms and e-mail, mail or walk-in to Summerfield's Admissions Office.  Lastly, fill out the online form found under Step 3. Once your completed written application materials, online form and $75.00 application fee have been received by our admissions office your family will be contacted to discuss the interview procedure.

Preschool & Kindergarten

There are many opportunities throughout the school year to come and learn more about the early childhood program at Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm.  Please check the Upcoming Events section of this website often for a list of opportunities. 

We are now accepting preschool and kindergarten applications for the second round of 2013-14 interest.  Children must be 3 by June 1st of 2013 for the preschool program.  And 4 by June 1st of 2013 for our multi-age kindergarten program for 4-6 year olds. 

Step 1
Download the ECE Application Procedure document, print and complete the Written Questionnaire.

Step 2
Mail, e-mail, or walk in the in the completed written questionnaire with a recent photo of your child and a $75 application fee.

Step 3
Complete the Online Form.

Lower School (Grades 1-8)

Applications are now being accepted for the 2013-14 school year on a space available basis.  Contact our Admissions Director to inquire about available spaces in our lower school classes, 707.575.7194 ext. 102 or sallie(at)summerfieldwaldorforg

Download the Application Procedure document, print and complete the Written Questionnaire, Signature Page and Transcript Release Form (used to request Transcripts from students present school for teachers to review).

Step 2
Mail in the completed Written Questionnaire, Signature Page, and Transcript Release Form with a recent photo of your child and a $75 application fee.

Step 3
Complete the Online Form.

High School (Grades 9-12)

ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH, 10 AM.  JOIN US FOR THIS FUN, INTERACTIVE AND INFORMATIVE EVENT HOSTED BY THE HIGH SCHOOL FACULTY AND CURRENT STUDENTS. RSVP: sallie@summerfieldwaldorf.org

Thank you for your interest in the school's high school program.  To schedule a student shadow visit contact Amelia Miller, at 707.575.7194 ext. 108 or amelia(at)summerfieldwaldorforg.  Shadow appointments are scheduled Mondays through Thursdays.  Students should plan on attending classes for the entire day.

Download, print and complete the Application Procedure, Questionnaire for Applicant, Questionnaire for Parent/Guardian, Waiver Form, Math Teacher Recommendation Form, Humanities/English Teacher Recommendation Form, and the Transcript Release Form.

Step 2
Return the Parent Questionnaire, Student Questionnaire with essay, Waiver Form, signed Transcript Release Form, a recent photo of the student and a $75 application fee to the address listed below.  References from current teachers can be sent directly to the school by the teacher. Applications can be mailed to: Attn-High School Admissions, Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm, 655 Willowside Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95401
